Actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, two years after the birth of their first daughter, Dua.
The couple shared the news on Instagram on Saturday, September 19, through a simple joint post featuring an imprint of the newborn’s tiny feet, alongside the message, “Welcome Baby Girl. 19.9.2026. Dua, Deepika and Ranveer.” The announcement drew an outpouring of congratulations from fellow celebrities, including Kriti Sanon, who wrote that Dua now had a baby sister, along with messages from Alia Bhatt, Kriti Kharbanda, Vicky Kaushal, Sonakshi Sinha and Bipasha Basu.
A day before the announcement, Deepika was spotted visiting Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple with Ranveer and his parents to seek blessings ahead of the baby’s arrival, dressed in an orange and purple traditional outfit while Ranveer wore a purple kurta. The couple had announced their second pregnancy earlier this year through a social media post featuring Dua holding a positive pregnancy test.
Deepika and Ranveer, who have shared the screen in films including ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ’83’, got married in a private ceremony in Italy in November 2018 and welcomed their first daughter, Dua, on September 8, 2024.
On the work front, Ranveer recently featured in ‘Dhurandhar 2’, which crossed Rs 1,000 crore at the global box office, and will next appear in the zombie survival thriller ‘Pralay’, directed by Jay Mehta. Deepika will next be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Siddharth Anand’s ‘King’, which also stars Suhana Khan.
