Television actor Pearl V Puri known for playing role of Mahir Sehgal in Ekta Kapoor’s superhit show Naagin 3 has been arrested by Mumbai police for allegedly raping and molesting a minor girl. The actor was reportedly detained on the night of June 4 after the complaint was registered by the victim and her family at the Police Station.
Mumbai police confirmed news to TOI by saying, “Pearl V Puri has been remanded to police custody and booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.”
Six persons including Pearl are currently in police custody and being interrogated. The victim has said that she was initially raped in a car and then repeatedly raped by the accused involved. Apart from this, no further information has been revealed yet. When the media messaged Pearl to ask the details in this matter, there was no response from the actor.

Currently, Pearl is playing the character of Angad Mehra in the TV show Brahmarakshas 2 which marked his third consecutive collaboration with Ekta Kapoor. Actor made his acting debut in 2013 with the show Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat that aired on Sony Entertainment Television. He got his first lead role in romantic drama show Phir Bhi Na Maane…Badtameez Dil on Star Plus. He was later seen on shows like Naagin 3, Naagarjuna Ek Yoddha and Bepanah Pyaar.
