Shakira rocked in many fabulous styles over the years. When it comes to try different looks Shakira has almost tried everything. There must be some specific looks she loved and there must be some style she actually want to forget.
The ‘waka waka’ star recalled her ‘terrible’ mistake while looking back at her fashion evolution for British Vogue.
She blamed her partner’s mother for the mistake. She shared that Gerard Piqué’s mother once said to her, “Hey, why don’t you cut your hair? It’s really damaged.’ And me: ‘Ah, uh-huh”, Shakira also said, after seeing her photo on vogue,”Worst mistake of my life. Mother-in-law, I’m not taking cosmetic advice from you again.”
But what she liked the most in the picture is Azzedine Alaïa’s designing clothes which she was wearing in the picture. She remembered the late designer and said,” May he rest in peace.”
She further added,”And I remember it with great affection because he was a great friend. And he always sorted me out every time I had an event because clothes are a tricky topic for me. He sorted me out. And, well, they still do, the people at Alaïa. I think highly of them….His style has always gelled with the female figure, with a woman who’s not very tall, so they always suited me. It’s a shame about my haircut, mother-in-law.”
